This month's blog circle theme is Details - It's In the Details. They are an integral part to the stories that we tell with our images. They can add to the emotion or complete the picture with what is going on. What better holiday for details than Halloween, okay, any holiday will have awesome details. This was the first Halloween we haven't celebrated with the two other families that we have been with for the past 12 years. Our kids are all growing up and their friend groups are evolving. As a mom of two tweens (twinkie eleven year olds to be exact) a 13 and 15 year old I spend a lot of the holiday dropping off and picking up from various neighborhoods; and even passed out a bit of candy in between (my favorite part after seeing my own kids' costumes.) Tell me about your Halloween and be sure to visit Laura's blog for her details :)
I don't know about you, but I find wrappers for days . . .
We have a little deal, the kids and I do that is, if I find one single wrapper anywhere in the house that it's not supposed to be then all, ALL of the candy goes in the garbage! It doesn't matter whose wrapper it is - I find it - I throw it away. I secretly hope to find a wrapper around because I can't stand the gobs of candy. Once I make the deal they are quick to toss the wrappers in the garbage properly ;)
Now if only I hadn't given up sugar - I could be munching on that Butterfinger right about now!
makes my momma heart sing when I see them working together!
Cupcakes . . .
and pumpkin seeds . . .
and mascara oh my!
Zombie make-up complete!
No Halloween would be complete without this guy's appearance.
Especially with the tools left behind for . . . improvements? . . . disposal? . . . protection?
Happy Halloween 2016 - even if I am a week (or more) late :) be sure to check out Laura's details next in the circle :) See you in December!
Have a warm and wonderful day!
