Senses! This month's blog circle theme. I can't wait to see what the other photographer's have shot for the theme. The day before the blog was meant to be published I still hadn't decided on how I was going to approach this when when we planned a last minute morning tirp to the beach. (My oldest daughter has taken up surfing and there were decent waves for South Florida.) Perfect! A morning at the beach is filled with endless possiblities for fulfilling the senses. The sight alone is gorgeous and today was the perfect Florida Fall beach day. The feel of sand in the toes, the scent of coconut surfboard wax, the sound of the waves crashing and the salty taste left on the lips all made for the perfect end to Thanksgiving weekend.
All images were shot with the Nikon D750 and the Lensbaby Velvet 56. A fun little lens I rented for the weekend. I didn't think I was going to like it after my first few test shots with it. The bokeh is great, but the fucus was really challenging for me. I struggled trying to shoot with it wide open, but was given some advice to shoot with a higher apperture and that did the trick. I think I would definitely add it to my collection to give some variety during sessions.
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out Eboni's November moments.
Have a warm and wonderful day!
